This coating method utilizes the fibers of the bamboo. It will change over time after years of use. Gomatake Every year in March, the bamboos are selected. The top of the bamboo is cut off and the remaining trunks are dried to a semi dead state, this creates small, black dots to form on its surface, resembling black sesame.
